Speciality: Applied mathematics and modelling


To train multi-skilled engineers who are able to conceptualise industrial problems and offer solutions, using or adapting existing tools. The course aims to develop:

  • reasoning, conceptualisation, attention to detail and creativity
  • a multidisciplinary approach
  • the ability to deal with complexity and uncertainty
  • a sound knowledge of company structure and corporate culture

Carrer opportunities

Whilst large companies remain the traditional recruiter for students from this course, the development and democratisation of modelling and computing tools mean that small and medium sized companies are offering more and more job opportunities. Both leading edge industries (aeronautics, space, automobile...) and financial institutions (banks, insurance...) as well as all the sectors of economic activity which are faced with organisation and conceptualisation problems.
